What does Holistic mean?
Holistic Therapies have been around for thousands of years and were commonly used in ancient Egypt, China, and India for their therapeutic effects. Holistic means Care for the whole person, mind, body and spirit.
MIND – Our mind is our brain. It is also the part of us that thinks, that is logical, the part that works things out through thought.
BODY – Our body is our physical shell.
SPIRIT – Spirit is the hardest to define. It is the part that makes us who we are, the part that expresses our uniqueness and the origination of our feelings.
The holistic approach to health differs from the conventional medical approach in that it takes into account the whole client rather than just focusing on the symptom or the part that has the problem.
Holistic therapists believe that the body has a vital force or life energy. It is this force that protects the body from disease and allows it to heal. We often refer to it as the “immune system”. When the balance of the immune system is disturbed we then see the various symptoms of dis-ease. Holistic therapies aim to help the patient restore the balance, thus allowing the body to heal itself naturally.

Stress is the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressure or other demands placed on them both at home and in the workplace. Stress is not simply a complaint in itself, left untreated it can lead to further health problems,

This does not have to be the case, we visit the doctor when we become ill to treat the symptoms, but we need to take time out to take care of our health naturally before these symptoms start to appear.
By taking a holistic approach, we treat people as a whole, that is, not just the prevailing symptoms, but review the person’s entire lifestyle. It is important for our health and well-being to take time out from our busy lifestyles to relax, unwind and re-energize. Holistic therapies are the perfect way to alleviate the symptoms of stress.
Booking An Appointment
We offer 90 minute, 60 minute, 45 minute and 30 minute treatment sessions. If you would like any further information or confidential advice on which therapy may best suit your individual needs, please contact us here by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or book your appointments through our booking app (please don't call us to make your appointment as all appointments must be made through our booking app). You can find this on the navigation bar where you can sign in for available dates and times to book your appointment. Please note all Therapies must be booked at least two days (48hrs) prior to treatment and be fully paid, before treatments commence.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. Missed appointments and appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full. If for some reason your therapist has arrived on time for your appointment and you are late arriving or running late for any reason, your appointment will end at the usual time.
If your therapist is running late she/he will contact you ahead of time to inform you. If this is not suitable timing for yourself, then your therapist will endeavour to make sure you have another appointment which will be convenient to you and the therapist.
Information for New Clients
Please note - when booking an appointment, your therapist, will arrive 15 minutes before your treatment commences, so that you have a consultation with your therapist before the treatment commences. (This also applies to distant healing sessions) That way your therapist will know if the therapy you asked for is suitable for your needs or there maybe any contra-indications that may hinder you from having a particular therapy.
